About Me

My name is Nikki, I am 25-years-old, and I live in a suburb of Boston with my parents (a recent change to my living situation) and my pup, Owen. I was living in Connecticut working for an environmental consulting firm and decided I needed a little space and time to branch out a bit. Since moving back home to “regroup”, I have been working two part-time jobs while studying to be a Nutrition and Wellness Consultant through American Fitness Professionals & Associates (AFPA). The change has been mostly good, and was part of what spurred this blog.

I love food, running and going anywhere with Owen and I am passionate about living a healthy lifestyle. I try to vary my exercise routines but I really love running and I feel the best after I get in a good long run. I love my veggies and hummus and other raw foods, but I don’t say no to trying anything especially if it’s local and/or organic… or if it’s wine. Well, except pig products, they just don’t sit with me right. I also spend a lot of time with my pup, Owen. He’s a beagle/australian shepherd mix (a Shepple, if you will) that I rescued a little over a year ago from Tennessee, and I can’t imagine living without him. We come as a package now.

I am writing this blog to make a sort of “scrapbook” for myself while I find a direction for my life and also to encourage and talk to others about similar interests.
